Responsible Conduct of Research

Parkland Health & Hospital System is committed to conducting research in a scientifically responsible and ethical manner and expects all staff to follow the relevant guidelines, policies and regulations (see Parkland Policy #13-002 Research Misconduct Policy).

Parkland personnel supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) or the National Institutes of Health (NIH) are required to complete RCR training commensurate with the requirements of the funding entity. The Principal Investigator/Project Director is responsible for ensuring compliance with any specific requirements of the grant or contract and for ensuring that all personnel associated with the research also comply with such policies.

Available training and education opportunities to meet the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) requirements are accessible at Training and education.
