Trauma APP Program

The trauma center has 12 advanced practice providers (APP) and utilizes nurse practitioners and physician assistants. The APPs assist in the trauma resuscitations, operative setting, inpatient coordination of care, discharge planning and clinic follow-up.

There are four APPs on the trauma service, three on the orthopaedic service and three on the neurosurgery service.

All APPs must have a current Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) verification as well as other requirements defined in their job description.
