Consumer Advisory Board
The Consumer Advisory Board (CAB) is a group of Parkland patients just like you who work directly with staff to improve sexual health and HIV services across Parkland clinics and in the community.
This isn’t a focus group—CAB members actively shape sexual health services at Parkland clinics and in the community.
What CAB Members Do
- Share real-life experiences that influence how care is delivered
- Promote sexual health screening, HIV testing, and PrEP services
- Lead peer-led quality trainings for Parkland HIV Services Department leadership
This means decisions aren’t made in a vacuum. Leaders hear directly from clients about what’s working, what’s not, and what needs to change.
Who We Are Looking For
We are focused on increasing representation from people aged 40 and under. We strongly encourage people under 35, women of color and transgender people living with HIV to join.
The goal is a CAB that truly reflects the patients we serve and helps drive better, more equitable care.
Your Voice Matters
CAB members share real experiences, give feedback and help guide decisions that directly affect patient care. We partner directly with clinic staff to improve care, services and access across four clinics:
- ACCESS Clinic at Moody Outpatient Center
- Bluitt-Flowers Health Center
- Southeast Health Center
- Women & Infants' Specialty Health
-
When are the CAB meetings?
Third Wednesday of every month
11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
ACCESS Clinic at Moody Outpatient Center
5151 Maple Ave., Second Floor
Dallas, 75235
