Social Work

Our social workers connect patients and their families with resources at Parkland and in the community. They are an important part of the Parkland healthcare team that helps with continuing the healing process. For example, a social worker might refer a patient to Parkland’s Homeless Outreach Medical Services program (HOMES), which provides a mobile doctor’s office to county residents who have no other access to medical care. Or a social worker can help a patient obtain home healthcare services like physical therapy or enroll in a program for substance abuse counseling.

Parkland social workers are trained experts in helping our patients obtain safe and quality healthcare services. They are part of Parkland’s mission to give you the best care possible, regardless of ability to pay.
