Parkland is more than a health system. Parkland embodies the meaning and legacy of service to those who otherwise may not have options for health care prevention and treatment.

This Nursing Strategic Plan is written and implemented with a desire for the future sustainability of excellence and serves as our roadmap and guiding light to be the top-rated safety net public hospital in America and beyond.

As Parkland Nurses we dedicate this living plan and document to all of our patients, fellow employees, Physicians, Residents, Board of Managers, County Commissioners and citizens of Dallas County who have supported us and made it possible for us to be where we are today. It is with gratitude that we acknowledge this team and a city and county that supports those who most need our care.
