Trauma Education Programs
Outreach and educational programs
Although we are proud of the lifesaving care we provide in the hospital, we also want to keep people safe, healthy and injury-free.
The Rees-Jones Trauma Center provides injury prevention programs for the community and the entire North Texas region. The information from our trauma registry, such as types of injuries, ages and where they live, tells us where we need to focus our injury prevention programs and education.
Programs, such as the Youth Drinking and Driving Program, aim to educate and prevent injuries and trauma. These programs are multidisciplinary and have measurable outcomes to evaluate their effectiveness. We also join other health providers and agencies in the area so that we can work together to save lives.

Provider training
Part of our goal is to share our trauma expertise with others who also care for patients in need of critical care. Parkland offers several training programs at Parkland as well as workshops and training programs in the community for trauma professionals.
