Orthopaedic Trauma

Parkland Orthopaedics
Motion is life. Life is motion.

The Parkland Orthopaedic Trauma team provides state of the art care and management of musculoskeletal injuries. Parkland Orthopaedics has been at the forefront of fracture care for decades. Our long history of groundbreaking research improves the lives of patients in our hospital, our community and worldwide.

Many of the treatment strategies and new technologies for fracture care were developed at our hospital. The fracture team can offer patients evaluation and treatment of a broad range of conditions and injuries that can occur at any stage of life, affecting individuals from young adults to senior citizens.

Our Orthopaedic team is the only one of its kind in North Texas with depth of experience and treatment options available for the evaluation and management of fractures. Our team provides comprehensive care – taking into consideration the individual needs of the patient and doing what’s absolutely best for the individual.

Services include

  • Evaluation of fractures and injuries
  • Conservative treatments to allow fracture healing while preserving motion and function
  • Minimally invasive procedures, including percutanous repair of fractures of the pelvis and acetabulum
  • Repair of fractures involving joints, such as the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee and ankle.
  • Prosthetic and orthotic fitting
Our Orthopaedic surgeons work as a team in conjunction with colleagues in other disciplines, such as general surgery, neurosurgery and thoracic surgery, to provide comprehensive care to injured patients. In addition to other physicians, our team includes nurses, occupational, physical and recreational therapists, prosthetics and orthotic specialists and social workers.

When seconds count, you can trust our Orthopaedic Trauma Service to deliver fast, safe, high-quality care.

Arrange a visit with one of our orthopaedic specialists by making an appointment through MyChart or by calling a care coordinator at 214-590-1920.
