Since 1894, Parkland has been an important resource in meeting the growing health care needs in Dallas County. The Community Relations Department aims to bridge Parkland to the community through outreach efforts that promote Parkland’s mission while also meeting area health care needs. We are always looking for opportunities to provide services and health education in the community.
Need a Parkland Speaker?
Virtual Parkland Speakers Bureau provides a variety of healthcare professional speakers who are committed to building awareness through its many educational programming efforts. Our professionals help to educate, inspire and motivate families throughout the community.
Planning a Career Day?
The Putting the Care in Career program was launched in spring 2014 from a need to expose students to job opportunities in health care. Parkland Virtual Speakers Bureau has presentations for elementary, middle, high school, and college students to cover a wide range of healthcare careers.
Community Health Fair?
Parkland promotes the health and well-being of the Dallas community with many community events each month. Services include informational booths and handout materials on health topics, such as cancer, diabetes, epilepsy and obesity. Preventive screenings like immunizations and a variety of other support services are also available.
Mobile Immunization Van?
Parkland Health Mobile Immunization Program is available to provide immunization services upon request and availability. The mobile immunization program provides eligible children 18 years of age or younger. The mobile unit is available for health fairs and community events. The mobile unit can also be set up at neighborhood locations such as schools, retail stores, recreation centers, faith-based and community sites.
