Orthopaedic Trauma Program

The orthopedic trauma program is one of the busiest programs at Parkland. UT Southwestern Medical Center's Orthopaedic Department provides the surgical coverage and oversight for the orthopaedic trauma patients. The defined trauma orthopaedic trauma liaison works in collaboration with the trauma medical director to define the criteria for orthopaedic trauma activations and orthopaedic standards of care. The orthopaedic trauma service has faculty in-house and available 24 hours a day.
