Parkland move completed ahead of schedule

Parkland completed a historic move a day early, transferring more than 600 patients across the Mike A. Myers Sky Bridge to the new state-of-the-art facility across the street according to WFAA-TV (ABC), KXAS-TV (NBC), KDFW-TV (FOX), KUVN-TV (Univision), KRLD-AM, WBAP-AM, KERA-FM, D HEALTHCARE Daily and The Dallas Morning News.

Lobby features Dr. Anderson tribute

Parkland paid tribute to longtime CEO Ron Anderson, MD with a statue in the lobby of the new Parkland hospital honoring his legacy as a giant among health care leaders, according to WFAA-TV (ABC), KERA-FM, WBAP-AM and El Hispano News.

Longtime nurse bridges memories of three Parklands

The Dallas Morning News reported that Parkland's longest-serving nurse made the move to the new Parkland hospital last month. Viola Black, RN, started her career at Parkland's Oak Lawn location and is now taking care of patients in the new facility.

First patient transported across sky bridge to new Parkland

KTVT-TV (CBS) reported that Nedra Washington was the first Parkland patient to be transported across the Mike A. Myers Sky Bridge to the Labor & Delivery unit at the new hospital. The new Labor & Delivery unit features private delivery suites and large windows with views of the Dallas skyline.
