Benefits of getting the COVID-19 and flu vaccines

With COVID-19 still around and flu season right around the corner, you’re probably wondering if it’s beneficial to get both the COVID-19 and flu vaccine. The answer is, YES! It’s important to do what you can to keep your immune system healthy and prevent getting sick. Here are five benefits of getting both vaccines:

  • You avoid getting infected with COVID-19 and flu at the same time.
  • It lowers the risk of hospitalization and death.
  • It reduces doctors’ visits and sick days that cause you to miss work and school.
  • Symptoms may be milder if you do get sick.
  • Protects you and the people around you who are more vulnerable to serious flu illness.

The benefits of receiving both vaccines outweigh the risk of infection. Don’t wait until it’s too late. Get vaccinated today!

  • Receive your flu vaccine at one of our community-based health centers for Walk-in Wednesdays, 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. No appointment needed.
