 On Monday, March 30, the new Parkland hospital was dedicated to the residents of Dallas County. In celebration of the dedication of the new building, the Dallas skyline turned purple on Sunday, March 29. |

New operating suites will nearly double in size
 The new hospital will bring much needed surgical space with 24 state-of-the-art operating rooms and nine obstetrics specialty surgical suites. At 650 square feet, the new ORs are nearly twice the size of those in the current building and feature the latest cutting-edge technology.

New labor and delivery rooms designed for comfort
 Welcoming a baby is a special time for every family. The large, private labor and delivery rooms are designed with the comfort of moms and babies in mind with special features such as en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers and a fold-out couch for loved ones.
