Immediate Jeopardy status at Parkland removed by CMS
Full survey will be conducted before Nov. 12
Today, state and federal regulators informed Parkland Health & Hospital System that the Immediate Jeopardy status issued by the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has been removed. CMS surveyors concluded the focused survey at Parkland earlier this week.
An unannounced full, system-wide CMS survey will take place sometime between now and Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014. Parkland is eligible to receive surveyors on any day at any time at any of its facilities.
“We will continue to operate in a state of continual readiness – as we do every day – in order to provide and maintain the safest environment of care for our patients and their families,” said Fred Cerise, MD, MPH, President and Chief Executive Officer.
