
A Parkland initiative involving a number of multidisciplinary care team of doctors, nurses, social workers and chaplains has dramatically reduced the high number of ER visits by some patients. It began with research led by Esmaeil Porsa, MD, Parkland's Chief Strategy and Integration Officer, to find out why these patients used the ER so frequently. Reported by
