Newly placed 'legacy tree' to welcome patients and visitors at new Parkland entrance

More than 600 trees have been planted around the new Parkland campus with the largest being the 50-year-old live oak "legacy tree" that originally graced the medical district. The Dallas Morning News, KXAS-TV (NBC 5) and WBAP-AM reported that the 30-foot tall specimen has taken root at the new Parkland's entrance, where it will welcome patients and visitors to the new hospital for decades to come.

Parkland doctor consults on Ebola outbreak
