Urgent Care Emergency Center
The Urgent Care Emergency Center is available for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. No appointments needed at this location.

Same-day Acute Care
If you become ill, you may get a same-day appointment by calling 214-590-0606.
Call when you have:
- Upper respiratory problems like cough, runny nose, or sneezing
- Sore throat
- Ear pain
- Exposure to a sexually transmitted infection
- Urinary tract infections
Times: Same-day acute care appointments are available mornings and evenings at the ACCESS Clinic. Bluitt-Flowers and Southeast Dallas Health Center locations each have one morning appointment and one afternoon appointment daily for same-day acute care. No appointments are available the third Thursday of the month.
Call: Try to call ahead. Ask for a same-day acute care appointment. Then you will have a scheduled time that day or soon. If you come in person, explain you are sick. Explain that you need to see a provider. Explain that you want a same-day acute care appointment. If there are no appointments, you may receive an appointment for another day soon. Sometimes clients go to the Parkland Emergency Department (Emergency Room/ER). The clinic will recommend care.
Emergency: Call 911 or go directly to the nearest emergency room if you are having seizures, prolonged nausea/vomiting, chest pain, abdominal pain, gastrointestinal bleeding, symptoms of stroke or hypertension emergency, or if you have been injured in a motor vehicle accident.
Pain you have had for a long time or medication refills are not an acute care matter. If you need refills for medicines written by your provider, please call the automated clinic message line at 214-590-2863. Request refills before you run out. Call when you have 10 days of pills left.
