Qabas Al-Jobori

Qabas Al-Jobori

Undergrad: University of North Texas
PharmD: University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth
Career Interests: Ambulatory care, infectious disease, and academia
Professional Goals: My short-term goal is to build on my foundational knowledge through a PGY1 at Parkland, followed by a PGY2 in a specialty area of interest. Through these experiences I hope to expand and refine my patient care approach to better serve the community and be an effective member of the healthcare team. In the long term, I aspire to become a board-certified pharmacist practicing in an outpatient clinic, where I can collaborate with a healthcare team, engage directly with patients, and precept students and residents. Additionally, I hope to establish a scholarship with my alma mater to support and invest in the next generation of pharmacists.
Personal Interests and Hobbies: I love traveling, curling up with a good thriller or murder mystery, and spending time with family and friends—whether it’s painting, exploring new cuisine or tackling an escape room together!
Why did you choose Parkland? I chose Parkland because of its dedication to continuous improvement and their focus on enhancing patient care beyond the hospital walls via community outreach or fostering professional and personal growth for residents under the guidance of experienced preceptors. As a teaching hospital and Level 1 trauma center, Parkland provides a diverse and dynamic learning environment that will challenge me to grow and develop into an impactful healthcare professional. The opportunity to train in such a setting will not only strengthen my clinical skills but also prepare me to make meaningful contributions to patient care and the broader healthcare community.
