Trauma Psychosocial Team

A basic psychological screening is completed for all patients to define coping needs and opportunities for support program referrals. The team's primary focus is crisis intervention for the patient, family and staff.

Following an injury, Parkland’s trauma psychosocial team screens each patient for crisis intervention and support needs. They define each patient’s need for intervention and develops the plan of care. The team also provides additional screening for behavioral health, alcohol use, drug usage and domestic abuse and provides counseling and services.
