RIGHT Care Adolescent Program
RIGHT Care adolescent teams are now serving youths from ages 10-17.
Two dedicated teams operate citywide from 3- 11 p.m. daily.
The team provides a coordinated response to youth behavioral health crises by:
- De-escalating crisis safely
- Supporting youth and families
- Reducing unnecessary justice system involvement
- Connecting families with health resources
RIGHT Care team expands to serve children and adolescents
Pilot program responds to adolescent mental health 911 calls in Dallas
Parkland Health has expanded its nationally recognized RIGHT Care program to serve children and adolescents experiencing mental health crises, beginning a six-month pilot for youth ages 10–17 on Feb. 11.
For the first time since the program’s launch, two RIGHT Care teams are dedicated to responding to mental health–related 911 calls involving minors between 3 and 11 p.m. daily. The expansion reflects growing behavioral health needs among young people and the importance of providing specialized, community-based crisis response.

When RIGHT Care Arrives
The team conducts an on-scene assessment including:
- Mental health evaluation
- Medical screening by a paramedic
- Family support and psychoeducation
Possible Outcomes:
- Stabilization on scene
- Referral to outpatient services
- Transport to bevarioal healthcare when necessary
Connecting Youth to Care
RIGHT Care clinicians connect families with community services as:
- Outptient therapy
- Crisis stabilization programs
- Community mental health providers
- Youth and family support services
RIGHT Care teams operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
