When do I have to have my RN license?
You must successfully sit for and pass the Examination for Licensure given by the Texas Board of Nursing in the State of Texas or become licensed by reciprocity or endorsement from another state in the United States of America or Canada before the first date of the Nurse Residency Program.
What happens after I accept the offer?
The next steps will include completing Occupational Health and other onboarding documents. Please ensure that the recruiter has your updated email address and phone number.
I am currently employed at Parkland. What do I need to do to apply for the nurse residency program?
Complete an employee online application via Parkland Pathways for the job opening in which you are interested. Log into Parkland Pathways and choose from the drop-down menu for careers. You can then search for nurse resident and all of the posted nurse resident positions will appear.
How do I get a hold of my recruiter?
Email is the best way to reach your assigned recruiter. Your recruiter's fax number and contact information will be located in the body of the email that includes your onboarding documents.
When is my new hire paperwork due?
Deadlines for all required documents will be communicated to you via email. Completing your new hire paperwork allows you to receive the access that you’ll need and to obtain an ID badge.
Nurse Residency Contracts
If I have questions about my contract who do I contact?
Please contact the contracts administrator, to ask any questions regarding the contract. The contracts administrator can be reached via email at

When will I sign the residency contract?
Once you have satisfied all pre-employment requirements the contracts administrator will send an email to the personal email address that you provided to your recruiter. This email will include instructions on electronically signing your Bridge Program Employment Agreement via Adobe Sign. A final, signed copy will be emailed when counter signed by Parkland. Please note this email comes directly from Adobe Sign. For questions, please contact the contracts administrator.
How will my manager or others know that I am under contract?
You and your manager have the ability to view your contract details via PeopleSoft’s Nurse Residency Contract Dashboard and regular reports.
