Parkland Orthopaedics Shoulder Service provides a comprehensive approach to the care and management of shoulder injuries and conditions. Many of the new technologies and techniques in this field have been evaluated and/or pioneered at Parkland. The Parkland shoulder team offers leading-edge expertise in the evaluation and treatment of a broad range of conditions and injuries that can occur at any stage of life, those affecting individuals from children to senior citizens.

This is the only program of its kind in North Texas with depth of experience and treatment options available for the evaluation and management of shoulder problems. Our team provides expert care for shoulder problems for patients in any age group.

Orthopaedic Shoulder surgeons work with a team to create a comprehensive, personalized treatment and rehabilitation plan for patients. In addition to other physicians, this includes nurses; occupational, physical and recreational therapists; and social workers.

	Michael Khazzam, MD specializes in evaluating and treating atraumatic and traumatic shoulder injuries. Dr. Khazzam is one of only 4 members of the American Shoulder and Elbow Society in Dallas.
	Christopher McCrum, MD specializes in knee and shoulder sports injuries.
	Timothy G. Schacherer, MD specializes in the care of the hand and shoulder. Dr. Schacherer was named one of the best doctors in Dallas for orthopaedic surgery in 2009 and one of the best for hand surgery every year from 2010 to 2017 by D Magazine.
