How to get a vaccine
You can get a vaccine at Parkland in these ways:
- Schedule an appointment online through MyChart. By scheduling an appointment you will be able to save time at the vaccination site. Click here for an instruction guide to schedule your vaccine appointment in Parkland MyChart.
- Parents or guardians who do not have a MyChart account for their children may also schedule an appointment by visiting https://mychart.pmh.org/MyChart/openscheduling; or
- Call 214-590-7000 to schedule a vaccine appointment.

Vaccines for children
As a parent, you want the best for your child, including protecting their health. Getting your child vaccinated against COVID-19 can help protect your child from getting COVID-19. Below find resources to prepare for the visit.
Vaccine boosters
To get a COVID-19 vaccine booster at Parkland, you must be 18 years or older and at least six months past your second Pfizer or Moderna vaccine. If you received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, you must be two months past your vaccine.
*Public health experts have recommended a
second booster shot of the COVID-19 vaccine. If you are 50 years and older OR have a weakened immune system AND it has been at least four months since your last COVID-19 shot, you can receive a second COVID-19 vaccine booster.
The booster is at no cost to you.
*Remember to bring your vaccine card.*
- Schedule an appointment at one of Parkland’s COPC vaccine clinics. There are two ways to schedule a booster vaccine appointment:
o Go to Parkland MyChart, the secure online patient portal, to schedule an appointment.
o Call Parkland COVID Hotline at 214-590-7000, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
COVID-19 vaccine cost
The vaccine is free to you. Parkland may charge an administration fee to your insurance company or the third party payor (e.g. Medicare, Medicaid, etc.).
