As construction nears end, new beginning take shape
New Parkland moved from a construction project to an operational one as the new building along with the central utility plant and logistics building all received final certificates of occupancy in late October. Parkland received full ownership of the new building on Oct. 31.
In the coming months, the current hospital staff will learn how to use the much larger and technologically advanced facility. Another big step will include planning the move from the old hospital to the new one using the sky bridge currently under construction. Parkland staff is working hard to make sure they continue to provide quality patient care in a safe environment during the move and when operations begin in the new building.
